Restaurants in Cornwall.

Home

Restaurants in Cornwall have a reputation for selling mediocre food for high prices. Although this is true of some, there are some restaurants in Cornwall that offer that little bit extra! Many local dining establishments now use local products, a lot of which is organic. The quality of fresh fish and in season vegetables is often second to none. My wifes mother owns a top class restaurant, so I am not impressed easily. But I have come across a few places I will be revisiting.

'Tyringham Arms' Old Coach Road, Lelant Downs, St-Ives, TR26 3EZ. 01736 740434
- The best Sunday roast dinner in Cornwall. It is best to phone in advance as this place is popular.

'Fifteen Cornwall' On The Beach, Watergate Bay, Cornwall, TR8 4AA. 01637 861000
- Jamie Olivers Restaurant serves the finestest and freshest locally produced products.

'The Pier House' Harbour Front, Charlestown, Cornwall PL25 3NJ. 01726 67955
- Considered by many to be the best local restaurant in St Austell.

'Kingswood', London Apprentice, St Austell PL25 7AP.01726 63780
- Serves great food and the service is great. One of our favourites. You could take your mother, but it iis still relaxed.

'The Waterwheel Country Inn and Restaurant' Bodmin Road, Trethowel St Austell Cornwall, PL25 5RR. 01726 67435
- It is set in an acre and a half of wooded valley. I have always found the staff very polite and my friends always enjoy their stay when they visit St Austell.

'Lamp Lighter', Fore Street . Probus . Cornwall TR2 4JL - Tel:01726 882453 . Fax:01726 882938
Although the food is quite good at the Lamp Lighter. The lady who served me let the place down with her delusions of grandeur.
